Production work was something I stumbled into. During college I spent my time producing online math curriculum at Agile Mind, Inc. While rewarding, I was looking for a bigger change in scenery post-college, so I set my sights on the tech boom of San Francisco, CA. It was there that I got a break into the digital marketing industry at Teradata Marketing Applications (now Mapp Digital, Inc.), where I produced emails and landing pages for clients. While there, I also learned to run segmentations, campaigns, and reporting for different clients.
As a front-end web and email developer, it is important to know your tools. For me, this includes being email marketing platform agnostic. I have spent my time picking up different email platforms including Marketo, MailChimp, Aprimo, and Digital Marketing Center. Why? Because it's important to have a full understanding of different platforms to accommodate your client's needs. Being email marketing agnostic allowed me to take on multiple clients that used different email marketing platforms.
Obtaining a B.S. in Computer Science from San José State University, wasn't just for show! I also know the backend of programming. SQL, databases, PHP and other programming languages such as Java, C++, and C are just a few things in my skill set. Combining my knowledge of SQL and queries has helped me run segments and queries for clients so they can reach better target audiences. It has also helped me debug issues with platforms and software to help further the main product.
"Megan is an absolute gem. Though relatively new to the industry Megan exudes a sage-like understanding of how to standardize, document, and educate others in processes to solve client problems in the digital marketing arena. In her role with Mapp she applied her raw technical development skills across multiple platforms for multiple clients, often times adding a layer of sophistication to already existing architectures and solutions. Whatever she touched she consistently made better, proving that she is an asset to any team. Additionally, Megan always went above and beyond to help her colleagues. Whether it be documenting a topic for the first time and/or reaching out to other internal teams to help guide understanding throughout the organization, she was a dream to work with. Employees that drive toward goals set before them are what managers want, but employees that lift colleagues up around them are what truly successful organizations want. Megan is this type of employee."

Megan's ability to learn a wide-range of technical details quickly was crucial to the success of many projects. She often performed above and beyond the scope of her duties, and because of that, clients and team members consistently enjoyed collaborating with her for all their projects."
